Integrated Product Team (IPT) Quality Lead Job Description: Enthusiastic leader with proven track record of results will be responsible for the overall Integrated Product Quality (IPT) activities (hardware, software and systems) and success of the Mission Assurance activities supporting multiple programs. This person leads the interpretation and application of Quality requirements by leveraging their experience in initial planning, design/development, production execution, and deployment to fielded product. This person will be a member of the Patriot Core Execution Leadership Team and must be able to anticipate and provide solutions that mitigate risk to both process and product issues. This person provides leadership and strategic oversight for a variety of evaluations and improvement of processes. This role will work closely with their Core Execution teammates to ensure design, buy, build, and field support process and products requirements are met. This position will also own the Mission Assurance oversight to Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Early Gates and Capture. This includes responsibility for development of proposals, participation in early proposal gates, member of proposal review teams, and the development of customer priorities for new programs. This person acts as a primary focal point to Patriot Leadership Team and Integrated Product Team product management, product engineering, supply chain management, and customers and their representatives. They must develop and maintain excellent working relationships within multiple levels of both the functional and customers organizations. This leader will demonstrate passion for growing customer relationships by creating an attention-to-detail culture centered on mistake proofing critical processes and preventing risk. Specific Task or Leadership activities include:  Provide Leadership to three Quality Assurance IPT team leads and extended support team.  Member of Core Execution Team – primary Mission Assurance Leadership representative  Drive culture of accountability for results.  Work to develop extended team to insure needed capability to support core execution team and associated programs.  Support and lead process improvement teams using Six Sigma and other process improvement tools.  Resolve complex quality issues with CET partners and/or program management.  Review of prime contracts with an emphasis on preparing and implementing effective and efficient quality assurance processes.  Schedule quality program activities and monitor use of program quality funds. Perform cost account management tasks and report earned value. Monitor program assignments of supporting program Quality Engineers (QEs) and ensure all work is performed to allocated budget.  Provide program unique orientation/training to supporting program QEs.  Participate in program change review board activities.  Actively participate in Risk Management Review Boards and assist in identifying potential risks and developing risk mitigation plans.  Perform quality evaluations throughout all phases of the contract.  Certify and release products (i.e. Document, drawing release, software/hardware release). Required Skills:  12 years of related professional experience in operational execution or support to role.  5 years of direct supervisory experience  Experience working in large Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) or similar collaborative organizational structures.  Ability to work across the entire Value Stream – design, buy, build, and support.  Ability to perform successfully when responsible for performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance - including familiarity with Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).  Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives that yield tangible business benefit – especially as it relates to reduction in non-conformance or non-compliance. Desired Skills:  Knowledge of CMMI, Lean and Six-Sigma is highly desired.  Experience establishing Quality cost estimates and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).  EVMS Level 2 Certified.  ASQ certifications are or RTN MA Certification Level of 4 or higher.  Good understanding of Quality Management Systems and how they support effective execution. requirements  Experience with Raytheon’s Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management process.  Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.  Experienced interfacing directly with multi-functional customers.  Demonstrate high analytical skills and strong problem solving skills. Possesses the ability to apply data driven decisions to business level problems.  Possess an in-depth understanding of contract flow, configuration management and other processes that support multi-functional teams and programs.  Works well with people individually and in a team environment.  Ability to identify root cause, initiate/implement effective corrective actions and track corrective action to closure.  Build and maintain effective business relationships with DCMA and DoD customers  Travel will be required (domestic and international)  Must have a current US government SECRET security clearance (or higher) Required Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or related discipline 98934
