There is a great opportunity for a Principal Quality Engineer to join Raytheon’s Patriot Core Execution Team ! As a Principal Quality Engineer within the Patriot Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information (BMC4I) Integrated Product Team (IPT), you’ll support business initiatives/objectives and represent the customers’ best interests, assuring product quality and effectiveness throughout the product life cycle, from design through post-delivery support. The Patriot BMC4I IPT operates as part of the Patriot Core Execution Team (CET) in a fast paced and dynamic environment supporting multiple customers and suppliers simultaneously around the world. You’ll report to the BMC4I Integrated Product Team Quality Lead and will be responsible for the daily support of Integrated Product Team production including development, interpretation, approval, and application of contract, quality system, and technical data package quality requirements as well as performing detailed technical evaluations involving reviews of drawings and specifications for several programs within the BMC4I IPT scope. In this role you’ll also be actively involved in daily operations with your teammates to direct, influence, and monitor the IPT’s activities across functions, including leadership, integrated supply chain, operations, manufacturing and process engineering, test engineering, quality, materials and mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, customers, and more. This position requires a strong background (both breadth and depth) in implementation and execution of Mission Assurance, technical, and contractual requirements throughout initial planning, design and development, production and deployment, and fielded product support, along with strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills to present critical issues to leadership, influence cross functional groups, and manage customer expectations. The position is based in the Andover MA facility but may require domestic or international travel. Extended hours may be required. Assist in devising and implementing change strategies using Raytheon Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Required Skills: 10+ years’ Quality, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering experience Experience leading Root Cause/Corrective Action investigations US Citizenship is required. Must have the ability to obtain a US government SECRET security clearance (or higher) Desired Skills: Demonstrated ability to understand drawings, work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), material controls, process disciplines and tool control Ability to lead in a team-based manufacturing environment and make decisions with minimal supervision Experience ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget Customer focus with a background that includes customer interfacing and relationship building Metrics driven and success oriented High computer literacy and proficiency with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) Statistical Analysis Background Experience with SAP or PRISM (Process Reinvention Integrating Systems for Manufacturing) Six Sigma Specialist ASQ Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.), Lean/Six Sigma or other contemporary methodologies and tools for continuous improvement. Experience working with suppliers/subcontractors providing both build to print and modified COTS products. Knowledge of supplier with key sub-tier supplier relationships a plus Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirement Master’s degree level preferred Experience in the aerospace/defense industry Required Education (including Major): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or a Technical Discipline 99112
