New Product Development Program Manager to lead several Product Development projects with cross functional team members to meet aggressive growth objectives of the business. The PM will be responsible for strategic planning to meet challenging schedules, driving team results to meet milestones, and establishing priorities for various project tasks. The PM is an action oriented leader with demonstrated capability to launch New Product Development programs with high quality designs, on time, that generate differentiated returns in the market place. Position requires the ability to manage the business and technology risks associated with NPD programs. Candidate must have the ability to learn about emerging and internally owned technology platforms to bring innovative solutions to customer requirements.

The Program Manager must possess the ability to manage several New Product Development programs simultaneously. A successful track record with project prioritization, risk assessment, staffing and skills assessment, resource negotiating, scope containment, conflict management, and compliance to NPD procedures is required. The PM will be responsible for anticipating and communicating issues, recommending corrective action, and taking independent remedial actions and reporting outcomes. The Program Manager will have ownership for program milestone achievements and to ensure key performance metrics are achieved. The PM must be able to effectively communicate status to all stakeholders, with excellent oral, written and documentation skills and must have technical expertise and organizational savvy to be influential in a highly matrixed organization. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership and facilitation experience in driving New Product Development initiatives from concept through successful launch.

  • Minimum BS degree (EE, ME, Physics)

  • Demonstrated Program Management Experience 5+ years

  • PMI Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent preferred

  • Candidates with high volume manufacturing experience preferred

  • Create competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans

  • Goal oriented with strong attention to deadlines, process and quality results

  • An active listener who can gather the voice of the customer and translate to product requirements

Additional Details:

  • Up to 20% domestic & international travel may be required.

  • Candidate must be proficient in MS Project & MS Office suite

  • Candidate must be willing to attend and lead global conference calls in early mornings or late evenings

  • Experience with doing business in Asia a plus

  • Candidate should be comfortable making decisions with some level of ambiguity

  • Candidate must have the ability to influence the work of others at all levels and functions

  • Candidate must have the ability to manage teams of 6-10 individuals

  • Candidate must have strong NPD process knowledge & experience with NPD phase gate processes
