Dell Advisor, IT Infrastructure in Bedford, Massachusetts
The Advisor, IT Infrastructure ensures optimum IT infrastructure performance and integrity. Establishes and maintains consistency and synchronization across infrastructure components. Ensures performance optimization, and maintenance by following operational procedures for maintaining and upgrading technology as required. Involved in supporting new and existing applications. Works with other IT groups and business units, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
Ensure that the technical environment is properly maintained and that any problems are rectified.
Ensures proper deployment of new architecture in accordance with practices and standards.
Ensures proper resolution of problems that have been escalated.
Identify performance issues and drives the development of tools to correct.
Leads cross functional teams to design IT infrastructure architecture.
Mentor less experienced team members.
Provides technical expertise in cross functional and intra-departmental efforts.
Strong understanding and competence in virtual computing environment.
Propose visions, solutions, and improvements that align with RSA IT goals
Document solutions, data flows, procedures, and other technical information as directed
Experience with VMware vSphere is required
Experience with Windows Server is required
Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking is required
Working knowledge of SQL Server operations (management, maintenance, backups) is required
Experience with Operating System inter-operability is required
Experience with Linux Server Administration a plus
Experience with EMC SAN storage is a plus
Working knowledge of security technologies and concepts including Firewalls, system hardening, patching and vulnerability remediation is a plus
Knowledge of PKI / Certificate Management is a plus
Experience with PowerShell scripting a plus
Experience with a multi-tiered DMZ is a plus
Ability to drive accurate and timely decisions
Ability to prioritize projects and/or deliverables.
Ability to work effectively with senior management and in a team environment.
Communication Skills and problem solving skills.
Possesses strong product/ technology/ industry knowledge.
Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments.
Bachelors degree, 5+ years related experience
Technical Certifications are a plus
