Oracle Security Architect - Oracle Global Business Units in Bedford, Massachusetts
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Asa member of the of the Cloud Security Architecture Group, Oracle GlobalBusiness Units (GBUs), you will work closely with Product Development, CloudArchitects, Cloud Network Engineers, and Cloud Dev/Ops teams to providesecurity architecture and security engineering services internally acrossOracle s Cloud for Industry(OCI) and the Global Business Units (GBUs). The GBUs provide SaaS products to a variety of vertical industries, includingHealth Sciences, Hospitality Services, Financial Services, and more.
Theposition is tasked with balancing and incorporating security technical controlsand security processes throughout both OCI cloud hosting operations as well asGBU product development life cycles.
Provide security architecture and engineering design consulting to the Global Business Units (GBUs) Product Development organizations and GBU/Oracle Cloud for Industry (OCI) hosting organization.
Provide software development consultation as needed to GBU product development staff on aspects of product development and cloud security.
Provide IT and operational infrastructure security analysis and guidance to secure Cloud Operations infrastructure and services operating under various regulatory frameworks like PCI, HIPAA, or GPDR
Review technical security assessment and pen-test activities within the GBUs customer hosting cloud environments, legacy and OCI data center infrastructure.
Assist OCI and GBU Application Management System (AMS) groups in hosting operations to resolve security incidents and manage corrective activity.
Ensure sustainability of the security posture with respect to cloud hosting operations and Customer data protection.
Evaluate relevant aspects of IT security, operation security, software product security, systems security, and other emerging security technologies to support OCI business objectives.
Follow-up on implementation of corrective actions from engineering design reviews, assessments and incidents, and provide direct guidance for security remediation activities to the GBU lines of business and OCI.
Be a primary security point of contact for the GBU development lines of business, and liaise with other corporate security and IT security organizations as necessary to fulfill OCI organizational responsibilities.
Perform special security or research projects on an ad hoc basis as directed by management
Perform other duties as assigned.
At least 7 years experience with software product security, systems development, or IT security administration and operations
N-Tier, object-oriented, service design, and network/application/database security architecture experience
Evaluate and advise on proposed network/application/database architectures and the resulting security postures
Experience in software security lifecycle and related technology solutions
Ability to consult on IT security operations and applications security systems engineering designs
Experience of web application testing, infrastructure testing, manual testing, software code reviews, and performing security risk assessments.
Knowledge of web, middleware, database, OS, virtualization, data storage, and network communication technologies
Knowledge of industry security and regulatory standards information security such as ISO-27001, NIST, FedRamp, FCRA, PCI, HIPAA, GPDR and an ability to drive solutions towards corporate standards
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent team player - Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing security consulting to internal customers
University degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent
7 years of relevant experience andBA/BS degree preferred.
CISSP or GIAC preferred.
Current legal authorization to work in the US for any employer.
