Business Systems Analyst (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): The Business Systems Analyst works within the Product Innovation team, which is responsible for designing, developing and supporting enhancements to existing products for State Street’s Investor Services clients. The team leverages technology developments to introduce products that provide insights and help clients better manage their funds. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for production operations, specifically for capturing and implementing enhancements to existing product. Specific duties include: receiving the designs and target value proposition from senior management, and translating those into business requirements for implementation; timely completing the deliverables and escalation of any outstanding issues during the development; completing the required documentation and procedures for the product, while maintaining the quality of the outcomes and controlling for operational risk; completing project requirements documentation using clear, concise language to ensure all constituents have a clear understanding; managing the installation, configuration and testing of software application; integrating the application tools with other platforms where necessary; supporting the analysis of business process and conducting workflow analysis, assessing the impact of systems functionality on operations, and making recommendations on process improvement; creating release materials and maintaining user documentation, including training programs; conducting ongoing training exercises and other outreach efforts related to the application tools; creating reporting and metrics for various stakeholder groups and government committees; and in some instances, providing demonstrations of the product to the clients and explaining its functionalities.
Minimum requirements are: Master’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience developing a product in the financial or technology industry. Pre- or post-Master's degree experience accepted. Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience developing a product in the financial or technology industry.
Must have: proven experience in new product development or defining transformative solutions through experience in management consulting or financial institutions; industry knowledge in financial institutions, banking or asset management; advanced communication skills and demonstrated ability to transform and explain complex ideas in simple terms; solid PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation applications and also project scheduling and flowcharting software; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification; and project management experience with a track record ensuring product and client deliverables were delivered in a timely manner.
