  • In collaboration with the Chief Physician Executive and Executive Director of the CVC, this position is responsible for the creation, maintenance and expansion of strategic relationships and projects within the CVC. S/he will identify and evaluate potential new opportunities in the market, and will take a lead role in the implementation of new relationships. These relationships will include cardiovascular program and service line affiliations that are part of a larger hospital-wide affiliation. This position will also be responsible for the maintenance and assessment of existing strategic efforts, including off-site CVC practice locations. The successful candidate possesses expertise in financial analysis, project management, and business planning and development. As s/he works closely across a matrix of clinical and administrative leaders, both internal and external, the successful candidate must possess superb interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: Responsible for the creation, maintenance/oversight and expansion of strategic relationships for the CVC. Develops analytic models, frameworks and metrics for evaluating new and existing strategic opportunities. Collaborates with Finance and Strategic Planning to direct analyses, and performs independent analyses, that utilize professional, hospital and market-based data to evaluate the performance of new and existing relationships and to support decision-making regarding these relationships. Creates and communicates to senior leadership network development and business plans that are focused on assessing expansion, growth and partnership opportunities. Participates in and/or leads internal and external meetings focused on strategic initiatives. Assists in the development and maintenance of contracts related to strategic relationships. Directs CVC outreach initiatives and serves as the representative of the CVC at community functions, educational seminars and professional meetings. Plays the lead role in designing and maintaining databases of market and competitor information to support the CVC's strategic, business planning and network development goals. To include: Demand forecasting (inpatient and ambulatory) Competitive intelligence Physician referral patterns Impact of technology and innovation Trend analysis (clinical, regulatory, payer) Market penetration Prevalent market practices Participates in hospital-wide committees and projects that are focused on the creation, maintenance and expansion of key relationships. Participates in professional activities and maintains affiliations to keep abreast of trends/changes, regulations and legislation in the field of health care planning and network development. Maintains collaborative, team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the working groups' achievement of goals, and to help foster a positive work environment. Performs other similar and job related duties as required or directed. Requirements: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Superior analytic abilities and strong proficiency in the manipulation, interpretation and reporting of data. Must be able to use Excel. Organizational skills necessary to manage projects, multiple assignments and within scheduled deadlines. Level of knowledge generally obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree. MBA, MPH, MHA degree preferred. Five-seven years experience in practice management, clinical service line management and/or planning and business development with increasing levels of responsibility.
