Evolver is seeking a Cyber Risk Analyst to work in Boston, MA.


  • Apply cyber risk management principles in different government and commercial sectors to conduct quantified risk assessments;

  • Establish a draft standardized process for initial client interaction (criteria, artifacts needed, process to identify relevant risk areas;

  • Write audit and assessment reports that describe assumptions, scope parameters, and recommendations to client on next steps;

  • Execute and Write Assessment documents for the NIST controls and relevant organization Risk Management Framework

  • Write and review major system Authorizing Official documentation

  • Collaborate with management and peers to continuously learn and improve

  • Be an active member of the broader risk management community;

  • Interact with primary clients as the technical interface to staff and subject matter experts;

  • Support sales team with technical discussions and demonstrations and possible opportunities.

Knowledge of cyber and risk management concepts, including:

  • Understanding how cyber impacts business objectives;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of controls from architecture to ports and protocols;

  • Demonstrated ability to use crypto on government networks;

  • Knowledge of cyber threat vectors, both generally and sector-specific;

  • Baseline knowledge of current cyber risk posture;

  • Knowledge of advanced persistent threats;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of penetration testing.

Abilities Required:

  • 8+ years Consulting experience in Cyber Security or Risk Management;

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with clients on new and emerging projects;

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, both orally and in writing;

  • Ability to think critically from different perspectives (outside the box);

  • Ability to think like the adversary and address possible exfiltrations or other compromises with cyber defense users;

  • Ability to work on a team and individually;

  • Bachelor’s Degree required;

  • US Citizen;

  • Top Secret clearance or prior SBI accomplished;

  • 10 or more years providing customer security services.

  • Advanced skill in writing reports for target audiences including abstracted material for the highest levels within an organization;

  • Strong background in information security, IT audit or security risk management;

  • Risk Analysis experience, preferably in Risk Manage Framework executed system assessments;

  • Knowledge of federal infrastructure baselines.

  • Certified in Security Now, CISSP, Open FAIR, CRISC or other risk-related certifications (desired).
