As expectations for great user experience continue to rise, we are looking for a User Experience Director to join our talented leadership team who will influence the design direction and strategy, and help deliver great experiences to our ever-growing worldwide customer base;

What you’ll do:

  • Lead, motivate, challenge, develop and inspire a growing team of 8-10 professionals in various ERP domains and world-wide locations.

  • Help team members manage and execute a design process, produce high quality deliverables, present to stakeholders, and deliver delightful experiences to customers.

  • Manage the design strategy for multiple ERP domains within the product organization. Work with executives and other senior leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives.

  • Solve challenging problems in a collaborative environment with a talented multi-disciplined UX team, product managers and executives in a fast-paced, dynamic, agile environment.

  • Collaborate with the UX leadership team to foster a culture of user-centered design and innovation in a growing organization.

  • Contribute to the development of high standards, best practices, patterns and a design system that scales.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • 10 years experience in user experience design, with at least 4 years in a managerial/leadership role.

  • Degree in HCI, Design, or related field or equivalent experience in the field.

  • Experience recruiting, hiring, and training great talent.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a track record of coaching, mentoring and leading a UX team.

  • Highly organized, self-starter who works well with ambiguity, and is comfortable managing multiple complex projects in an energetic fast-paced environment.

  • Examples of work demonstrating hands-on influence in solving UX problems.

  • Collaborative mind-set, and experience working with and managing UX professionals, product managers, engineers, executives and other employees in various locations/time-zones. (Comfortable with some international travel to various locations at certain points of time during the year.

  • Strong empathy skills, and desire to reach out and speak with / visit customers

  • Experience with lean UX, agile methodologies, and helping teams be effective applying them to different team dynamics.

  • Familiarity and enthusiasm with emerging web/technology trends, technologies and UI implications.

  • ERP / Enterprise software design experience a plus.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
