Accenture’s Emerging Technology group’s mission is to incubate mature consulting service offerings out of the most cutting edge technology developed by our Research & Development teams. As a member of the Internet of Things (IOT) practice, you will be part of a team that develops architectures, products, methodologies, and delivers world-class implementation services to our clients.

In particular, the IOT Engineering Sr. Analyst role is to support the team in the development of solutions, implement architectural IOT POC’s and resolve complex technical challenges in the areas of intelligent device management, communications & networking, security, integration of event-driven architectures and streaming analytics.

The successful candidate minimally has a background in electrical engineering or Computer Science with an emphasis on embedded systems. They can show code samples or contributions in Github or an Open Source project. Most important they are a fast learner. They already know a few programming languages/Containerization Technology/Cloud/API/CI-CD tool, and picking up a new one is not only fun, but something looked forward to. In fact, an IoT analyst lives to learn new technology and engages with the team on new and innovative ways to monetize ideas in Accenture Verticals. Finally, professionally, this person is passionate about technology.

Outside the office, this person is always into new things, maybe a member of a Makers group, shares work efforts through Github, or is/has been involved with Open Source Projects. Learning a new language, tool, technique is an adventure and not a chore to this candidate. They will thrive on collaboration, but capable of working on their own. They have a passion for excellence and know how to balance perfection with getting the job done. Finally, they need to be an excellent communicator, both inside Accenture and with 3 rd party team members. The Sr. Analyst we seek keeps lists (digitally or on paper) and is obsessed about completing work on time with high quality.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field.

  • At least 1 year of Hands on IOT coding work experience.

  • Demonstrate hands on IT work experience in one of the following areas: Technology architecture assessments, strategy definition, blueprints, sale, Integration platforms, methods and related technologies, incl. IOT Platforms, APIs, MQx, Android, iOS. Programming: Java, J2EE, Node.js, groovy, ruby on rails, python, Objective-C, Any of other technologies used in IoT: RFID, Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, Cisco, Axeda, Thingworx, Wind River, SCADA, M2M, AI, 2lemetry, or AWS.

  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: Infrastructure, Technical IT Operations, Networking & Cloud computing, IOT Integration platforms or complex system integrations, IT Security & Privacy, Big Data, Analytics and streaming/real time analytics, IoT Field Technology: devices/sensors, M2M, SCADA, edge computing, wireless communication protocols

  • Work experience in one of the following industries/sectors: Government services, City management, incl. mobility, utilities, asset management & Oil & Gas,Healthcare, Manufacturing,Logistics, incl. air, rail & maritime transport, or Telecommunications

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

  • Must be willing to travel to the client site assigned in North America when needed (50-75%).

  • Must be willing to live and/or relocate within 90 miles of the ETI Redwood City, CA site.
