Primary responsibilities: You will collaborate with the business to understand/influence business requirements Demonstrate understanding of cross-functional/cross-domain requirements and impact You will maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions Ensure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals/objectives Identify and quantify scope and impact of business changes on systems You will facilitate/lead/participate in identification of solution options and features Communicate solution options to business owners/stakeholders (e.g.

architecture reviews) Incorporate software and system architecture (e.g.

infrastructure, network) into conceptual designs Ensure alignment with enterprise technology standards (e.g.

solution patterns, application frameworks, technology roadmaps, capital plans) You will identify gaps between established standards and proposed solutions, and follow the exception/waiver process as needed Maintain awareness of current technology assets and the capability of each Understand and adhere to architecture Governance framework Deliver all project deliverables on scope, on time and on budget Assist in chartering the architecture of how an enterprise application will be implemented within UHG Be involved in the development, communication and implementation of the organization's technology architecture and applications plan, including the components required to support it and in the integration of corporate and business architectures and applications.

Responsible for coordinating, administering and supporting activities related to data planning, data recovery and development and related projects. Reviews the work of others Develops innovative approaches Sought out as expert Serves as a leader/ mentor Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience 8 or more years of experience in IT Solution Delivery and architecture 8 or more years of full-lifecycle application development experience Deep understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration 8 or more years’ experience building N tiered applications using Java or equivalent technology Experience architecting complex clinical systems Experienced and/ or knowledgeable in architecture such as enterprise service bus, ETL tools, relational and object oriented databases In depth knowledge in data transport mechanisms and modalities, such as tcp/ip, ssl, SMAL 2.0, etc. Experienced with clinical transport mechanisms, such as ONC Direct, sftp, xdsb, fhir, hl7, etc. Experienced in designing clinical systems with high availability, disaster recovery and resiliency Preferred Qualifications: Health care industry experience Team leadership or team management experience Experience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple operating systems, languages and computing platforms Agile development experience Technology Careers with Optum.
