Kforce IT Business Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

Kforce's client in Boston, MA is currently looking for an IT Business Analyst to join their team.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The Business Analyst is responsible for managing the investigation and execution of medium to large size projects through the full project life cycle, and for fulfilling the responsibilities of the Business Analyst; these projects are typically focused on a single domain within the company

  • Manages both investigation and implementation projects; during Investigation projects, the BA works closely with clients and the IS&T team to document requirements, manages the vendor selection process, works with architecture on the solution approach and delivers and project proposal for the implementation project

  • The BA is directly responsible for requirements gathering within projects

  • Collaborates with clients to understand and document 'as-is' and 'to-be' processes and requirements through workshops with diverse clients to reach agreement on requirements

  • During Implementation, the BA manages the project team through design, build, transition to service operations, training, go-live, and project closure

  • Proactively manages resources, budget, schedule, change control, and issues and risks

  • Reports regularly on the status of projects to the project sponsor/steering committee, and ensures good communication within the team and with the stakeholders

  • Candidate should have 5 years of project management and business analysis experience

  • Experience with Student Records, Admissions, Financial Aid, or any other Student Information System department would be extremely helpful

  • Ability to condense information and communicate it; must have strong presentation skills
