PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position requires a multi-faceted analyst with a professional attitude and willingness to straddle both business and technical assignments. You should be able to operate in a fast pace environment requiring flexibility to changing requests. The individual will provide dynamic support to, senior management, business users and technology teams.

Will organize and participate in interviews with business and IT on special projects to conduct business process/workflow analysis of the current state and desired state.

Apply Lean analysis principles to analysis such as understanding customer needs, diagramming the workflow (value stream map), identifying problem areas/mistake proofing, identifying areas to improve efficiency, etc.

Conduct Systems analysis specifically where technology intersects with business processes, document the summary and provide recommendations on how technology may help improve the future state. In addition to special analysis efforts, the analyst in this role may be assigned to help a development team/development project overcome short-term periods where a team is in need of more analysts than they have.

MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to liaise and document for business users (from the C level senior business users to end users) as well as others in IT (developers, project analysts, etc.)

  • 10 years of professional experience in a business analyst role; in the investment management space ideally.

  • Knowledge in investment domain and technology and/or have education and work experience supporting both required.

  • MBA or Bachelor or Master’s degree in technology and/or finance; knowledge of asset management industry deeply preferred)

  • Strong business process analysis skills. Lean experiences a strong plus.

  • Strong analytic, problem solving, and collaboration skills required.

  • Strong Experience with Power Point, Visio, Word, Excel and SQL querying required.

  • Ability to mentor/lead junior members of the team is required
