The Digital Product Engineering team is positioned to bridge internal business units, technology research/architecture/application development teams and external partners to develop advanced, digitally enabled solutions that drive significant value to our clients and operating business lines. In addition to building around business specific needs, you will join a team of technologists serving at the forefront of State Street's IT transformation initiatives. Core to these efforts are the engineering, build and operation of State Street's multi-cloud technology infrastructure stack.
The Program Manager develops and manages program plans to ensure that deliverables are on track andassigns regular status updates to team. Program Manager provides direction and leadership to team membersregarding scope, schedule, budget, risks and tasks. She/he is responsible for ensuring alignment acrossstakeholders, leadership is engaged in addressing key decisions and communications across all impactedparties. Ideally, this person has lead large scale technology transformations leveraging public cloud platforms.
Define priorities and establish program standards to ensure quality of program deliverables
Provide program status information on a regular basis by tracking, monitoring and communicating progress
against the program plan, requirements, quality measures, procedures and milestones.
Work with program leadership to ensure program success
Create and maintain all documents contained in the program management plan, including issues / risks log
and program change requests to manage program-level scope, schedule and budget
Communicate program plan to team members
Establish and manage key stakeholder relationships to ensure that key decision makers are involved in the
appropriate aspects of the program and to the appropriate degree
- Deliver a quality program on time and within budget
Experience leading diverse, large, highly technical cross-company-large-scale distributed technical and cultural changes, influencing participants and leaders at all levels; ensuring alignment with defined engineering best practices as it relates to the secure adoption of and migration to cloud related technologies
Prior experience in leading programs leveraging agile methodologies across multiple geographies and delivering end-to-end software development projects (preferably using a cloud environment)
Familiarity with agile software development concepts and processes (e.g., scrum, Kanban, etc.)
Extensive experience with release planning, change management, status reporting, dependency management, technical impediment resolution, issue / risk management, financial management, etc.
Knowledge of technology concepts, strategies, methodologies and architectures pertaining to public cloud based development and build out
Experience in fostering cross-functional collaboration between business and IT teams
Proven ability to manage teams and delegate authority
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills including the ability to negotiate adequate resources (e.g., schedule, budget, staffing, tools, facilities, etc.).
Critical thinking and decision making skills
5+ yrs related experience
BA Computer related field
