Responsibilities

Designs, plans and coordinates project work teams. Provides technical support to project team members. Handles very complex application features, technical designs and projects. Designs and implements the components required for complex application features. Generally manages a group of project managers. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Provides overall, long-term coordination and management to company technical projects from initiation through delivery. Establishes effective communication with managers across technical and non-technical departments in order to identify key plan tasks and due dates. Involved in planning and managing project schedule and budget, and ensures that technical projects follow those plans. Ensure that technical projects remain on schedule and within budget.

May oversee programming and analysis and be called upon to supervise the work of programmers or a team. Conducts feasibility studies and assists in determining future hardware and software requirements.

Essential/Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Ensures projects are completed according to corporate plan.

  • Ensures that technical projects remain on schedule and within budget.

  • Establishes effective communication with other departments in order to ensure that projects are completed in a timely and effective manner.

  • Identifies the business and IT needs of key projects, and ensures that project managers meet those needs.

  • Interface, including requirements of cost, schedule and technical performance.

  • Participation in negotiation of requirements and requirements changes.

  • Responsible for Cost, Schedule, Scope, and Risk Management.

  • Serves as focal point for and liaison between departments on project status or other project information.

  • Works with director and management to ensure that technical project management related activities support the strategic objectives of the company.

  • Active participation in the development, support and maintenance of all aspects of security practices within your area of responsibility.

  • Ensure process and procedures are in place to enhance security and controls.

  • Collaboration and Communications with other areas to stay informed of changes and developments that may require Information Security intervention as well as keeping other departments informed of security initiatives that may affect other business units.

Qualifications

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • MS/ and/or PhD/ and/or PMI certifications or equivalent and 12-15+ years industry experience in development, implementation or marketing with a minimum of 10 years of project management.

  • Strong project management/process background, 10+ years of experience with a wide variety of methodologies, able to help lead general process direction
