Amazon 's Contingent Workforce Journeys team is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager (Technical) to lead and build solutions for Amazon's business partners that empowers them with the insights, tools, and scale they need to support our customers.

In this role, you will be the product owner of an internally-facing technology service and product that hundreds of teams across Amazon leverage. As a successful candidate, you will have a proven track record in managing and delivering large scale products to technical customers. You will be proficient in modern product management practices using design-led approaches powered by research. You will demonstrate business acumen and creativity in envisioning ground-breaking concepts by fostering an environment of experimentation and innovative thinking. You will be effective in building a network across partners and business leaders inside Amazon. You will demonstrate relentless customer obsession and work with peer groups in incrementally delivering on your exciting product vision.

Key job responsibilities

The Contingent Workforce Journeys team supports tools and services that enable Amazonians to obtain external labor in order to Deliver Results at Amazon. To that end, we are constantly looking for ways to delight our customers with simple and intuitive products and processes. Our goal is to deliver a seamless end-to-end customer experience for Amazonians seeking external labor that will ensure we got the right talent, at the right cost, at the right time.

Product management at Amazon is inherently cross-functional. The right candidate needs to be comfortable maneuvering through high levels ambiguity and complex problems when data isn’t clear. Product owners need to own their portfolio by making strategic product decisions grounded in existing data, or create pathways to generate it. Through a combination of defining new customer facing experiences, automation of manual work, you will assess many build- vs. buy-decisions for contingent labor at Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
