We are seeking an Experience Designer to help create innovative experiences that help our customers navigate the deeply emotional journeys related to insurance.

In this role, you would:

Under minimal supervision, designing products, processes, services, events, omni-channel journeys, and environments with a focus placed on the quality of the user experience and culturally relevant solutions. Collaborates with product teams, business teams and engineering teams in the planning and development of effective online solutions for assigned work stream. Responsible for creating user-centered design solutions that feature ease of use, employ best-in-class interaction design, and optimize user experience. This includes all phases of the design process such as conceptual design/development (the big idea), graphic and interface design, UI models/interactions, prototypes, user task/interaction flows, navigation maps, storyboards, persona/scenario development, and production. Establishes and maintains visual integrity, interaction methods, brand standards, and consistency.

  • Leads experience design for dedicated work streams; translate concepts into form, function and execution.

  • Collaborates heavily with product teams, business teams and engineering teams in the planning and development of effective solutions.

  • Define methods and tools for experience design.

  • Create experience and service design maps, journeys, concepts and storyboards.

  • Manages dedicated work stream, or group of projects that support an assigned functional area, within user design planning and execution.

  • Manages internal and external relationships, and facilitates the objective-setting and discovery process, including user persona development and interpreting user goals.

  • Oversight of story lining customer experiences.

  • Ensures continuity and consistent design practice; rapidly iterate on design prototypes and working applications.

  • Identifies user research needs and participates in immersive user research, concept testing, and usability testing. May lead some user research activities under supervision of User Research team.

  • Manages the overall alignment of cross project or cross-work stream functional experience requirements and recommendations to align with design.

  • This role might be for you if you have: *

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required 5 years of applied experience in experience design.

  • Strong organization and analytic thinking skills, with ability to translate complex content into user scenarios, flows and diagrams.

  • Ability to prototype using tools such as Axure, Omnigraffle, InVision or UXPin. Familiar with visual design concepts and tools; i.e. Illustrator, InDesign, etc. Familiar with user research methodologies and techniques.

  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-department teams.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills (comfortable in interacting with all levels of the company and presenting projects and status reports).

  • Experience with responsive web design, mobile app design and a working knowledge of HTML and CSS are helpful.
