As a member of Engineering team, the ASI Engineer will be responsible for software driven manufacturing processes utilized for fabrication and calibration of industrial sensing products. Main responsibilities include software development and automated system integration. Candidate will work closely with design and manufacturing engineers.


•Design and document the system hardware and software and integrate into a fully validated manufacturing cell. Main focus is on software that integrates the individual components into a system.

•Develop data acquisition systems for automated testing and calibration

•Reviews high-level specifications and generate detailed requirement specifications

•Identify key system components for process control and data acquisition.

•Work with Manufacturing and Design Engineers in new product development initiatives. Support pilot runs for new product introductions.

•Define and execute test plans for software, process and end-product validation.

•Devise database and algorithms for statistical process control and optimization.

•Using problem solving skills to drive to root cause of defects and process issues.

•Prepare reports, charts and diagrams to disclose results and highlight areas for improvement.

Required Skills/Experience:

•2 years’ experience as Automation, Software or Manufacturing Engineer

•2 years of experience developing C software and SQL Server

•Must have a track record of successful code deployment in a manufacturing environment

•Working knowledge with electromechanical systems (pneumatic controls, safety interlocks, actuators, etc)

•Working experience developing serial communication protocols for programmable instruments

•History of developing design specifications, supporting PRTI reviews and equipment selection criteria

•Working knowledge of basic lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, digital volt meters, etc)

Desired Skills/Experience:

•LabView Programming

•Test systems development experience

•Knowledge of motion control, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

•Calibration of instruments and transducers.


•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or related field

TRAVEL: Less than 5% of overnight travel required.
