Oracle Principal Education Consultant in Burlington, Massachusetts

Customizes and delivers education services to external customers.

The Principal Consultant/Instructor is responsible for the success of their assigned Oracle learning management/training event and committed to superior customer service. They are expected to develop plans for continuous personal and professional growth. The Principal Consultant/Instructor is expected to master new services, technology and internal processes shortly after their implementation. Manage aspects of the customer event (i.e. instruction, application implementation, environment, setup etc.) to ensure success. Produce quality deliverables on a project (i.e. assessments, communication, curriculum development, Tutor, eLearning). Ability to teach new technical material and/or implement new Oracle Applications modules with minimal preparation time. Review methods, processes, training materials and/or project implementation plans. Identify weak areas and suggest methods for improvement. Meet utilization targets. Travel as needed.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. BS or equivalent technical experience preferred. Has obtained one or more industry recognized certifications (OCP, CPA, CPIM). Has 3 plus years technical or professional experience using Oracle products, methods or related software. Has 3 plus years consulting experience or experience teaching adult learners.

NetSuite implementations require our Education Services team to understand customer business processes, learn their configuration and use of the NetSuite application, and assess their end user learning needs. Education Consultants create customized enablement strategies and deliver training to customers users by blending together e-learning, instructor led training, on the job performance support, coaching and other methods.

As an Education Consultant you will have the opportunity to make immediate contributions to the organization by:

Understanding the NetSuite application in the functional areas of ERP, Commerce and CRM as they relate to customer learning requirements

Learning all relevant aspects of current and new product rollouts to ensure ability to deliver effective product training

Working collaboratively with customers to build their product knowledge, increase user adoption and achieve ROI

Delivering high-quality, process-based custom training for customers across a variety of industries, sizes and types of businesses via onsite instructor led training sessions at customer locations and via virtual online sessions and webinars

Utilizing a structured project delivery and user enablement methodology

Consulting with the customer to analyze their business processes, audience roles, and learning requirements; designing targeted enablement solutions using NetSuite Training offerings, services and products; delivering customer-specific sessions; interacting with customer as needed for logistics, conducting knowledge transfers and follow-up.

Customizing training deliverables such as documentation, elearning and performance support materials

Building successful trusted customer relationships to help drive the importance of ongoing education

Building strong peer relationships with the Professional Services Implementation Team to drive successful business results

Participating in growing our enablement solutions based on technology advances and interactions with customers

Growing your product knowledge and training presentation skills through continuous professional development and application of learning industry best practices

3 years experience in a functional training role with emphasis on technology and business process training delivery

Experience with developing and maintaining learning objectives, training aids, and hands-on exercises

Understanding of common industry standards as related to ERP with an understanding of standard business practices as related to Accounting principles (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Invoicing), Sales Force Management, (Opportunity, Proposal, Sales Orders, Forecasting, and Quotas), Inventory Management (Purchasing and Fulfillment) as well as support (Case and Territory Management) or equivalent

Bachelor s degree and business experience

Previous experience with the following applications is a solid predictor of success: Oracle Financials, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Sage, QuickBooks, Great Plains, MAS 90, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday Financials

Ideally, industry experience in Retail, Warehouse Distribution, Manufacturing, Nonprofits, Advertising Media Publishing, Software or Professional Services firms.

The position will deliver on-site training upon request, typically 30-50% in a period with overall not to exceed 40%.
