Senior Metric Developer
L3 Advanced Programs is focused on advanced mission systems in the areas of Air Warfare, Strike, Space Systems, Electronic Warfare, Cyber Systems, ISR, Expendables, and Undersea systems. We leverage expertise from across all L3 business units to provide advanced technology solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence communities.
L3 Advanced Programs is seeking a software programmer who can build flexible analysis code from high level concepts generated by senior analysts to provide tabular, graphical & visual reports from mission level measures of effectiveness and performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in C , Java, Excel, and MATLAB.
Work with senior analyst to understand metric relationships and meaning so that a coherent tool can be developed to present the metrics.
Support senior analyst in the development of the metrics.
Generate graphs & visual means to present metrics in an easy to understand fashion.
Able to work from high-level concepts that were developed in Excel or MATLAB with little to no formal requirements.
Due to the nature of our work, this position requires an active SECRET security clearance. An active TOP SECRET clearance is strongly desired. Some domestic travel required (est. 10 – 20%).
At least 10 year's relevant work experience in C & Java programming.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar.
Experience and/or broad familiarity with military terminology & concepts.
Knowledge of commercial/open source operational analysis tools including optimization and graphical visualization techniques.Desired Qualifications:
Previous work in data visualization
Other degrees in Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, or similar.Security Clearance :Applicant selected will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.
