The Manager, EC Field will work as a member of the Global Experience Office (GEO) to support field based courses for second year students. Reporting to the Associate Director, EC Field, the Manager will focus primarily on semester long courses that incorporate a field-based component. Specific responsibilities will include the following:

  • Manage corporate relations efforts related to courses. This includes maintenance of marketing materials, outreach and tracking systems, partner-specific assessment and project planning, scheduling, and administration of legal agreements

  • Work with potential leads such as alumni, HBS research centers, iLab, Harvard Launch Lab, External Relations, Social Enterprise Initiative for the purpose of developing a stable of local business networks to identify, source, and establish relationships beyond the local HBS community

  • Work directly with faculty on development of courses (academic and program content, course sessions, project sourcing, team structure, feedback)

  • Document and maintain course components in Quickbase database and share site, including contacts, project tracking, teams, and feedback

  • Work closely with members of the EC and Communications teams on all student communications, feedback, and data analysis

  • Collaborate with other MBA and HBS departments including Registrar Services and Division of Research Assistants to coordinate course delivery and the Canvas management system for students and facult

  • Serve as a traveling Program Manager on GEO-supported courses

In a limited capacity and based on the needs of the team, the manager will also work closely with the EC Field Team to deliver Immersive Field Courses (IFCs). These are field-based courses during which students attend classes in the fall and travel outside of Massachusetts in January to work with a company or organization. In this case, the manager would also work closely with members of the GEO Operations Teams on course travel and logistics planning
