IT ASSOCIATE (SALESFORCE), Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), to ensure fluid operations and project coordination on rapidly expanding initiatives that are centered around J-PAL’s Salesforce platform. Will take ownership of work load, proactively follow up on action items, and interact effectively across all levels; monitor activities; maintain personnel records; report on finances; maintain mailing lists; and both program solutions and help select outside programmers for more complex tasks. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of Salesforce org., using best practices to release new features, update existing processes and objects, deploying third-party solutions, and managing vendor relationships for larger projects; working with J-PAL staff, affiliates, and partners on using and improving Salesforce org. and serving as primary contact for all new Salesforce feature requests; presenting at conferences and participating in meetings with regional offices; identifying the most important needs among current feature requests, acting as an internal consultant, creating timelines, scheduling future work, and communicating changes to stakeholders/users; and performing other tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED: minimum of three years’ relevant IT experience; hands-on Salesforce experience or training; comfort with Salesforce’s declarative admin interface; understanding of permission sets, sharing rules, and profiles; understanding of the uses of Apex code, even if not expert writing it; ability to build good relationships, work within a team, and communicate clearly (both orally and in writing) with a broad range of stakeholders; proven ability to anticipate, plan, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines; demonstrated ability to independently organize and manage a high volume of time-sensitive work while maintaining high quality output and absolute accuracy with details.
