Pegasystems, Inc. Manager of Deal Operations and Order Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Position:

An exciting opportunity to manage and lead the Global Deal Operations and Order Management team, who support mission-critical operations within the Legal and Finance groups for Pega. The position is supporting software deals and agreements from initial negotiation and drafting through execution and partners closely with many different departments within the business, including Sales, Services, Finance, IT and Product Management. As the manager, this role will focus on mentoring and leading talented staff members as well as determining and implementing process improvements.

In this role, you will:

  • Mentor and manage a growing team of Deal Operations and Order Management personnel
  • Provide support, guidance, and training to internal customers (Sales, Finance, Engineering organizations, etc.) for contract management and order management system end-to-end processes
  • This is a hands-on role that involves front line problem solving support to internal contract stakeholders and skillful advising, management, mentoring of the Deal Operations and Order Management Teams

The Person:

Our ideal candidate has a background managing a contracts and order support function, ideally in a software environment, and has a proven history of implementing process improvements and increasing efficiencies. They will communicate well with others, be organized and show key attention to detail. Qualifications will include:**

  • B.A. degree required; higher degree preferred
  • Previous people management experience is required
  • Proven ability to learn and use complex contract management systems
  • Expertise in contract and order management operations
  • Proven ability to learn and use complex technical systems and processes
  • Understanding of core legal principles concerning contracts, in particular software licensing and services contracts
  • Good people person; able to communicate with precision and thoughtfulness to all levels of the organization

  • Acute attention to detail
