We are looking for a creative, talented scientist interested in both humans and computers to join our Immersive Training Technologies group. At BBN, Immersive Training Technologies Scientists and Software Engineers design, develop, and deploy new advances in immersive training technologies such as serious games, virtual worlds and simulations, human performance modeling, and expressive artificial intelligence. BBN is seeking a Principal Investigator who possesses a wide range of expertise in the computing and cognitive sciences. Candidates must have a strong desire to develop advanced solutions to complex, cutting-edge problems of national relevance that range from basic research to deployable solutions. Qualified candidates will be expected to interact with customers and potential customers, write winning proposals to fund new projects, and successfully organize and execute cutting-edge Research and Development (R&D) projects. Projects are typically sponsored by the Department of Defense, other Federal Government agencies, or various commercial organizations. Successful candidates may come from academia, industry, or government, and will have a track record of leading successful R&D efforts from initial concept to realization, experimentation, and transition. Required Skills: • Strong software engineering skills and knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts. • Experience with two or more of the following: serious games/games for training, modeling and simulation, machine learning, human performance modeling, and cognitive engineering applications. • Established ability in leading and executing technical R&D projects for Government customers. • Proven track record in writing successful proposals. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance is required. (in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering) with 9 (nine) years of experience or Ph.D. in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering 91263
