This position is focused on service delivery excellence for UnityTM Lab Services. Specific activities relative to the job function could include: inventory management, order management, chemical management, glassware washing, material handling, and media preparation. This position will utilize the functionality of systems and applications relevant to the job function, such as: RIMS, chemical management software, procurement applications, and the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Customer interface communication skills are required. It is also expected that this position will have a basic understanding of the performance metrics applicable to site specific activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Sales Quotations and sales support.

  • Order Entry for multiple accounts and ship to destinations

  • General customer service, including receiving / responding to customer calls and emails. -Inquires to range from order status / expedite, returns, invoice resolution, order corrections and pricing resolutions.

  • Other duties to include:

  • Inventory management (low volume), on site sales support, asset management support and remote support for area team members.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.

  • Must possess a High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

  • Computer literate

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office program, especially Excel

  • Work Overtime, as required

  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between customer sites.

  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, with assistance

  • Possess a strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to deal with various levels of personnel at the customer site including providing clear, concise communication with customers.

  • Collaborate with the on-site commercial team.

  • Deliver excellent customer service to include maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines

  • Strong problem solving ability

  • Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific

  • Works primarily at customer locations, in office environment to include cubicles and/or in and around shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, storage locations and laboratory environments.

  • May be required to work independently at a customer location.
