The ideal candidate will have significant experience providing multimedia customer service in a fast-paced, academic environment. Knowledge of ITSM methodologies will be beneficial. The candidate will have the proven ability to supervise, deliver professional customer service, and to manage multiple simultaneous work assignments. Analytical and troubleshooting skills and the desire to identify and resolve technical or process issues are preferred. Must be accessible by cell phone during business hours and occasionally off-hours in a support emergency. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills.
InfoComm CTS; Crestron DMC-E; basic CAD; experience with Dante; college background in related multimedia and/or technology preferred, 3+ years experience with supervising staff; ability to work with a range of constituents and to develop solutions to service problems in a client-friendly manner; and knowledge of a range of computer software and operating systems is required.

The Supervisor of Technical Operations staffs and supervises classroom technology support, course recordings, video productions, and multimedia events. The Supervisor of Technical Operations collaborates with colleagues, associated departments, and vendors to ensure MTS is providing timely multimedia solutions.
Duties and responsibilities:
Schedules and supervises full-time technicians; hires, trains, schedules, and supervises part-time technicians and student employees;
Uses a Filemaker database for scheduling and management of course and event support;
Supervises daily technical operations for course and event support;
Instructs faculty, staff, and students in the operation of classroom multimedia equipment;
Assists MTS director with technical projects, makes recommendations for equipment purchases and project management;
Assists in the implementation of continuous improvements to products, services, processes and team performance;
Assists in multimedia infrastructure and technology research and development;
In a highly skilled manner sets up, operates, and supervises the use and care of multimedia equipment including, but not limited to, data projection systems, laptops, digital audio recording and sound reinforcement systems, video recording systems, Crestron and Extron systems, matrix switchers, and IP videoconferencing;
Communicates with repair staff to stay informed about the condition of learning and event spaces;
Leads weekly tech meetings for full time staff;
Attends and contributes to learning spaces planning tours;
Attends production meetings for select FAS events: determines client needs, equipment requirements, staffing, and logistics planning for packing, loading, setup, strike and execution of the event;
Arranges for audiovisual equipment rentals for events (eg. diploma ceremonies for commencement).
In cooperation with University partners, supports and develops digital streaming services and media distribution for courses and events.
