Job Description

Support activities relating to the management of ZOLL's Supplier Quality program. Assist the Procurement, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Engineering departments with the day to day issues relating to supplier certification, validation and quality. Maintain quality systems associated with supplier management. Support material review board as supplier quality engineering representative.

Essential Functions:

  • 35% Reviews supplier performance data, drives improvements in supplier's delivered quality, evaluates and validates supplier proposed changes and performs supplier improvement or qualification audits as needed. Individual must be eligible for international travel including.

  • 50% Daily quality support for issues arising in incoming inspection, MRB and on the production lines. Individual will use sound engineering judgement in the disposition of product through the material review board process.

  • 10% Maintains the Supplier History database, Supplier Corrective Action Database, and Supplier Audit schedule .

  • 5% Other duties as required, to include internal process improvements. This will include Green Belt training and participation in Kaizen and Six Sigma.

Required Skills

  • 0-2 years experience in a supplier quality engineering support role.

  • Familiarity with problem solving tools to drive to root cause.

  • Willingness to perform audits of suppliers. Training will be provided.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Oracle desired but not required.

  • Ability to comprehend and comply with standards and regulations such as ISO13485, IS09001, and FDA 21CFR, Part 820.

  • Proficient in most common PC based applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Visio).

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or other technical discipline. Electrical or Electronics engineering preferred.

  • Advanced degree and/or applicable certifications (ASQ CQA or CQE, 6cr Black Belt) desired.
