The Sr. Business Tech Architect is responsible to act as the lead technical contact for a defined set of named accounts and must quickly and positively impact the customer's real and perceived value of a relationship with CA by leveraging best practices in solution development, design and deployment. This individual has demonstrated their ability to build top 'C' level relationships across IT and lines of business. Their intimacy with the client is reflected by the customer's level of trust and reliance on their abilities.

  • The Sr. Business Tech Architect’s Responsibilities*

  • Maintain a trusted and influential relationship with the technical decision-making and decision-influencing customer contacts (including the CIO or CTO).

  • Provide a technical perspective and guidance for the customer's business executive level contacts. This is achieved through a combination of broad real-world IT industry experience; domain expertise and industry recognized certifications.

  • Must be perceived by the customer as being /both/ customer centric and solutions oriented, bringing tangible value in terms of industry/technical experience, knowledge, and expertise.

  • Pursue revenue opportunities while balancing the risk to CA.

  • Deliver positive, quantifiable results for CA and its customers which will be measured across four primary areas:

  • Preferred Education*

Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or a related degree.

  • Work Experience*

Typically 10 years of IT architecture and industry-related experience as well as a detailed technical knowledge within the disciplines of Enterprise IT Management including technical expertise in operating systems, firewalls, load balancers, network analysis and database analysis with onsite customer experience. A consulting background including client management, problem solving, crisis management, mediation amongst third parties and meeting facilitation is preferred.

  • Ability to interface with customer onsite both at a technical and executive level

  • Proven comprehension of solutions and how they are designed to be integrated into the customer environment

  • Extensive troubleshooting skills of solutions and integrations

  • Demonstrate creative problem solving and decision making to address complicated business problems

  • Ability to develop and mentor Architects

  • Solid technical leadership skills

  • Understand and assess how architecture changes resolve customer issues

  • Proven ability to work in a variety of high pressure situations producing favorable outcomes

  • Be a recognized Subject Matter Expert for a particular solution and knowledgeable of integrated solutions

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot products and solutions

  • Strong technical knowledge across the industry and awareness of industry future direction û and able to identify the implications on customers

  • Able to communicate the cross-functional value propositions within our aggregate portfolio of solutions

  • Able to understand complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious û and enable customers to do the same
