Wyman-Gordon, located in Grafton MA, is a major industrial manufacturer serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, power generation, and industrial businesses. Wyman-Gordon Grafton is a 1 million sq. ft. manufacturing facility with a 50,000 ton press, 35,000 ton press and 18,000 ton press for large titanium, steel and inconel closed die forgings. Help Desk PC/LAN Technician

The purpose of this position is to provide technical support to all employees of the North Grafton, MA, Worcester, MA, Millbury, MA, Dillon, SC, Princeton, KY, and Brighton, MI Facilities. Required to travel to support for the Millbury, and Worcester facilities and supply remote assistance for Brighton, Dillon and Princeton.


  • Managing help desk calls/emails and assigning work tickets to appropriate IT personnel.

  • Perform daily system health checks for production servers and document results.

  • Assigning/changing/removing user network and application permissions in accordance with IT procedures and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

  • Order/place requisitions for new hardware and software.

  • Hardware and Operating System Installation.

  • Configuration and troubleshooting of installed applications.

  • Configuration and troubleshooting of hardware issues.

  • Installation and deployment of applications.

  • Managing periodic signoffs and software change requests in accordance with IT procedures and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

  • Reconciliation of telecommunication invoices for charges to appropriate departments.


  • Certification preferred or on Educational Path.

  • At least 1+ years in supporting Desktop PC’s in a large network environment.

  • Must have knowledge in Windows XP/Windows 7 x86 and x64.

  • A+, Microsoft MCSE, Microsoft MCP in WIN XP, Windows 7 x86/x64, Exchange, Office are a plus.

  • Must be willing to work after hours and weekends as needed.

  • Ability to support end users in other facilities remotely or in person (transportation required)
