We are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Cape Cod Hospital. PURPOSE OF POSITION: To design, implement, oversee, and troubleshoot the Cape Cod Healthcare enterprise physical and virtual server infrastructure, working closely with applications analysts who manage the applications housed within. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Responsible for systems implementation, management, and troubleshooting of CCHC server operating environments and related applications. 2. Responsible for Storage Area Network implementation, management, troubleshooting and disaster recovery 3. Responsible for CCHC data protection and backup systems 4. Support Applications group rollout of critical CCHC strategic initiatives 5. Maintain server systems diagrams, documentation and inventory. 6. Grant access to network services as needed. Perform daily operational tasks to maintain and improve hospital workstation and server performance. 7. Serve on hospital committees and task forces as directed. 8. Participate in department on - call rotation. 9. Support and maintain Virtual Server infrastructure and associated software and hardware infrastructure. 10. Support and maintain Citrix Presentation Server remote access infrastructure along with other remote access initiatives as necessary. 11. Support and maintain advanced security initiatives such as biometric, two-factor authentication, single sign on, and related systems. 12. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: · BA in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or an equivalent amount of related experience and education that demonstrates the necessary skills and abilities to perform this job · Ten or more years experience in implementation, management and troubleshooting of enterprise server operating systems, related hardware, and applications. · EMC Storage Area Network experience 5 years or more · Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification or equivalent · VMWare Virtual Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent experience · Demonstrated in depth knowledge of networking protocols TCP/IP (routing), IPX/SPX, NetBEUI; PC operating systems: DOS, Windows 95, Windows NT Workstation, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista; network operating systems including Netware, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows 2003. · Experiencing supporting Citrix Presentation Server farm including related services such as Citrix Access Gateway, Web Interface, and Secure Gateway · Proven ability to coordinate and lead others through project implementation and to communicate effectively (written and oral) at all levels.
