Shire Procurement Systems and Tools Manager in Lexington, Massachusetts
Procurement Systems and Tools Support
Provides level one end user systems support including e-Sourcing support (RFx, eAuction, etc.) to Procurement team members
Performs system administration including user license maintenance, and system maintenance as needed
Lead/own resolution of issues brought by end users by:
Analyzing and fully understanding the issue
Conducting research to identify root causes
Correcting system issues (i.e., configuration, setup, rules, etc.) as required
Involving proper solution provider Technical Support and/or cross-functional business partners to drive resolution as required
Testing solutions prior to deployment in production environment
Providing feedback to internal/external solution providers
Create and maintain systems and tools documentation, user manuals and work instructions
Conduct end user training for existing team members and new joiners
Create documentation for any system issues/system enhancements following implemented change management process
Perform system testing, implementations, enhancements and upgrades
Act as a liaison with end-users and internal/external technical support teams
Serve on projects as a team member or lead small to medium projects
Develop understanding and knowledge of category taxonomy, key categories and current supply base
Technology and Processes
Promote and support effective use of Procurement Tools for e-Sourcing, value capture and any other third-party solutions with category managers. Provide ongoing support to maintain and enhance current systems.
Support the development and maintenance of procurement business processes including standard operating procedures and work instructions
Provides input to Annual Procurement Planning Calendar
Planning and Reporting
Develop, manage and maintain key metrics and utilization analytics for Procurement, providing recommendations to increase utilization, proficiency and value delivered from core procurement systems
Develop and manage department monthly/quarterly reporting to senior leadership
