As a Watson Software Engineer, you are a critical to achieving our mission at IBM Watson and responsible for evolving our cognitive SaaS applications to address new business opportunities. Discover what you can make of this moment.We are looking for enthusiastic, talented and experienced technical professionals for the tooling and web user-interface development of Watson Conversation Service.Conversation Service allows quick development, test and deployment of bots or virtual agents across different devices, messaging platforms, and even physical robots. We are seeking engineers who are interested in learning Watson technology, enjoy working with people, and have the skills and passion for analyzing and resolving challenging technical problems. You will work in small agile teams (8-10 people), collaborate with user experience designers, product managers, and other (globally distributed) development teams to design and implement solutions for Watson Conversation Service.The position requires skills and experience with web development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript (Angular experience is strongly preferred) and node.js. Experience with agile development, software development tools and configuration management systems (preferably Git), and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with globally distributed teams is also required.What will you make with IBM Watson?Watsoncore

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree

  • Fluent in English

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a software developer

  • Minimum 3 years of web development experience, with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

  • Experience with JavaScript development frameworks, such as AngularJS or React

  • Experience with server-side development using node.js (preferred) or Java

  • Readiness to 10% travel annually
