Kronos Cloud is seeking a Cloud Tools Delivery Engineer to join our Cloud OneSupport team. This position is responsible for overall Monitoring and Logging strategies for all Cloud components along with the delivery of respective tools used at each layer to provide supportability for the overall solution. Candidate should be well versed in monitoring tools ranging from Application Performance Monitoring to Public Cloud Infrastructure monitoring. Candidate should also be well versed in logging technologies that can be utilized to combine logs from multiple components and provide analytical data to multiple stakeholders with distinct requirements. The candidate is expected to deliver POC and lead the delivery team in implementing the solution while working closely with Architects to determine gaps and improvements.Job Description· Gather technical requirements, assess client capabilities and analyze findings to provide appropriate cloud solution recommendations and adoption strategy· Work collaboratively with all levels of business stakeholders and engineers to define and develop a highly scalable Cloud Tools/Supportability solutions (Application, Infrastructure, Support and Security)· Configure Logging and Monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Google Stackdriver, and Splunk· Research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches for solving difficult and challenging development and integration problems· Develop dashboards in respective tools to provide consumers with actionable information· Implement access controls in Splunk, Stackdriver, Dynatrace and other tools to different deployments and stakeholders· Develop proper thresholds and alerting policies to provide accurate alerts to stakeholders· Provide recommendations on architectural changes in order to improve efficiency, reliability and performance and to reduce cost· Work with Automation teams to deploy monitoring and logging solutions· Direct experience with a Cloud provider, such as Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), RackSpace
• BS in Computer Science, related fields or commensurate work experience• 3+ years project experience deploying cloud solutions (Google Cloud and AWS)• 3+ years architecting and implementing Monitoring Tools & Logging (Application and Infrastructure Tools)• Project experience implementing core infrastructure, networking and cloud based services for business teams or consumers• Deep product knowledge and understanding of product features including:· Google Cloud· Automation and DevOps Tools· APM Tools (Dynatrace)· Logging Tools (Splunk etc)· Chef· Docker· Virtualization• Experience configuring and tuning virtual private/public clouds• Experience with Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), SAML, web Single Sign-on (SSO), OAuth and related authentication technologies• Transport Layer Security / SSL principles and management• Experience with networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies)• Practical experience sizing hardware and storage needs• Strong analytical problem solving ability• Good presentation skills• Good written and verbal communication skills• Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a project team• Performance analysis, troubleshooting and remediation techniques• High Availability and Disaster Recovery principles, patterns and usage• Understanding of cloud ecosystem and leading edge cloud emerging technologies#LI-POST
