Job Description: NOTE; An ACTIVE SECRET clearance is required for this position. The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is on the front lines of Information Assurance Cyber Security in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment with numerous responsibilities to include: · Performing technical audits and enforcement of information systems security procedures · Creating and maintaining assessment and authorization documentation · Fielding complex compliance questions from the user community · Configuration management of hardware and software · Reviewing the adequacy of security controls for a wide variety of systems in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other relevant government regulations The ISSO collaborates with multiple disciplines including, but not limited to, the facility security team, program personnel and government representatives. Additionally, the ISSOs assist in investigating information system security violations as well as prepare reports specifying corrective and preventative actions. Multiple cross collaboration opportunities are available including local and out of state self-inspections, enterprise wide working group participation, and providing support to local centers. NOTE: This position can be a Salary Grade G07 or Salary Grade G08 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position Relocation is not available for this opportunity.
