The Receiver, Exciter, and Signal Processing (RESP) Department in the Electrical Design Directorate (EDD) at Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) is seeking a Digital Logic Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Designer. The mission of the RESP Department is to develop best in industry technologies relative to cutting-edge radar technology and processing while still supporting mission proven products. The RESP Department is looking for candidates who are willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with other IDS engineers to generate and utilize today’s cutting-edge technology to design digital designs that implement radar systems and digital signal processing. Our technology base include high-speed digital electronics, configurable logic, and homogeneous/heterogeneous multiprocessor designs. Job Description: The Digital Logic FPGA Designer responsibilities include developing FPGA requirements derived from higher level system requirements, developing and implementing the hardware description language application for Altera and/or Xilinx FPGAs, and associated test verification scripts. The candidate will work as part of a team providing highly innovative solutions to complex advanced radar technologies. Required Skills: 10+ years of experience relative to the required skills listed below (less with and advance degree) Experience with Verilog or VHDL hardware description languages Experience with Altera Quartus and/or Xilinx Vivado Integrated Development Environments Experience with requirements flow down and requirements development Experience with FPGA simulation, regression testing, and verification US Citizenship is required as this position will require a US Security Clearance Desired Skills: Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) fundamentals and FPGA implementation Experience with Matlab System Generator and Simulink Experience with reverse engineering of legacy designs Experience with advanced technology development and transitioning from development to production Experience with firmware configuration management Experience with using laboratory test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.) Strong communication skills Required Education (including Major): Bachelor of Science or Arts in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics Advance degree preferred 99439
