-The Transformation Office of Virtustream is entrusted by the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to manage the intersection of people, process and technology to define new ways of working at Virtustream.- Our purpose is to deliver and enable the future-state cross functional operating model, processes and technologies that position Virtustream to accelerate our strategicgrowth objectives.Role Purpose / Objective:The purpose of the project manager role in the transformation office is successful execution is of transformation projects that are assigned.-Ensuring on time project completion, within budget, and in alignment to planned project objectives and business outcomes for assigned projectsMonitoring project and providing direction to ensure that assigned projects meet expected goals.Timely reporting of project status.Effectively facilitating communication and interaction between the functional representatives and stakeholdersConsistently applying solid project management principles and skills in order to achieve excellent project resultsPrincipal Responsibilities-Work with stakeholders, SME?s and others to define, clearly articulate and confirm project scope.Estimate resources needed to complete the project, work with manager and other leaders to obtain the needed resources.Prepare clear project plans, socialize those with the project team and others as needed.Proactively identify project risks and issues, track those, and escalate to PMO director as needed.Effectively manage the activities of the project team ? creating clarity around their assignments and holding them accountable to completing assignments on time.Maintain constructive relationships with team members and other key stakeholders; model and encourage collaborative behavior.Prepare and provide regular updates to project stakeholders and PMO director.Monitor program/project scope and scope changes, following change management processes when needed.Adhere to all applicable policies within the organization including appropriate use of approved tools and methodologies.Coordinate with Change Management team to ensure optimal employee adoption or personally carry out change management activities for the projectSupport communication efforts as needed to create/maintain awareness of the program/project benefits and status.Required Experience / Skills / Abilities-Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Technology or related fieldMinimum five acting as project manager on technical or complex projectsPrevious experience in cloud services preferred;- technical service/software project management a mustProject/program management experience in a complex, global, matrixed environmentRelevant industry experience (cloud provider, managed services)Able to build and maintain strong relationships with peers and project team membersAble to communicate effectively across various levels within the organizationStrong verbal and oral communication skillsAble to work effectively in fast paced environment, balancing shifting prioritiesPMP certification is a plus Dell is an equal opportunity employer.
