Position Title: Infrastructure Engineer II (Global Infrastructure Service, CORP)

Position Description: Under the direction of infrastructure management and support from senior technicians, provide technical solutions for the TJX Corporate environment. Build and utilize expertise in servers, virtualization, desktops, networking, storage, operating systems (Windows and Linux), utilities, appliances, wireless devices, etc. to provide technical direction and guidance to project and support teams as assigned. Provide participation in product analysis, change management, audit compliance, vendor relations, customer service and security.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provides low to medium complexity Infrastructure support activities including off-shift support.

  • Performs Infrastructure Engineering and Administration maintenance tasks and analyzes process for improvement.

  • Performs low to medium complexity Infrastructure changes and implementations.

  • Participates in the Infrastructure technology design process.

  • Participates in disaster recovery exercises.

  • Assists in analysis of potential changes and enhancements to system software and databases to determine impact on existing production systems, system design standards and operating procedures.

  • Works as a member of a project team on Business projects and team initiatives.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Information Technology services.

  • Experience must include:

  • Technical knowledge of Infrastructure technologies

  • Some knowledge and experience with Infrastructure. (e.g. Intel, Virtual Technologies, IT Tools, Storage, backup, Active Directory and other relevant technologies)

  • Analytical and organizational skills required

  • Works well as part of a team

  • Some knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI compliance requirements

  • Reasonable verbal and written technical and business communication skills

  • Willingness to learn to design and implement high availability solutions

  • Willingness to learn to design and implement disaster recovery solutions.
