Waters Corporation is currently seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team. In this position, the individual will support our global organization consisting of about 7,000 users within a Unix and Windows infrastructure.
Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Install, deploy, and upgrade Windows, Linux, and Unix servers to support our existing infrastructure.
Support and manage Active Directory and VMware
Experience with Powershell/PowerCLI and/or shell scripting
Design and implement upgrades, develop infrastructure, produce support documentation, and manage and automate recurring tasks.
Work with Operations Group to ensure successful and timely backups.
Participate in the review and implementation process for remote Business Continuance centers, and other high-availability options.
Secondary responsibilities will include supporting areas such as SAP, EMC NetWorker, cloud, and various others
You will also be an escalation point for our Help Desk team and will share in our 24/7 on-call responsibilities.
4+ years experience with system integration in a multi platform environment (UNIX/Windows).
Preferably an Associates or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field of study
Excellent knowledge of server support and problem-solving skills.
A high level of initiative and dedication with demonstrated ability to be a team player and willingness to lend a hand with any project.
Highly desirable software skills: Windows, Solaris, Linux, Active Directory, ADFS, IIS, MSSQL, Power Shell, VMware, EMC Networker, etc.
