General Summary

Responsible for planning and coordinating the resources to deploy major releases of new and existing applications as well as overall or subsets of systems, within the predicted cost, time, and quality estimates. Projects and Programs will most likely be very cross functional in nature where multiple teams will need to effectively collaborate together. Is seen as an IT Professional with a broad range of understanding of IT technologies and business processes. Provides leadership and oversight on all aspects of a project, multiple projects or enterprise programs translating business requirements into systems solutions. Manages the delivery of the functional design, technical design, build, test, and readiness components of project. Establishes and maintains a close-working relationship with all project stakeholders and technical staff to ensure alignment between solutions being delivered to business goals. Possesses the cross functional expertise and required technical knowledge to manage all aspects of a Information Technology project (Applications, Infrastructure, networks, and Security).

Responsibilities:

The Principal Project Manager is responsible for the overall day to day management of one or more medium to small sized projects. Has the ability to influence decision makers to steer technical decisions and designs on the project. Communicates delivery status, issue management and resolution.

Focus on alignment with business strategy. Manages stakeholder engagement an expectations. Measures KPI and reporting metrics to maximize ROI and value delivery.

Build agile culture across the organization at all levels; train the teams in Technology (PRPC), Scrum and Agile frameworks for new projects.

Develops and maintains project and resource plans, maintains quality and focus, monitors and controls project expenditures against approved budget.

Day to day resource management of project team ensuring effective delivery of projects tasks, deliverables, and milestones on time ,on budget, and within specification and or agreed upon project scope. Manages program interdependencies.

Leads negotiations on resource constraints, and critical path contention issues across multiple projects.

Facilitate stakeholder workshops and team meetings

Must fully understand how to use and ensure data is accurately maintained in EMC IT Project Management Tools

Responsible for project communications ensuring all project stakeholders based on the level of interest and authority are well informed of project progress and decisions

Provide executive sponsors dashboard reporting for all Business and IT aspects of projects, including financials, risk mitigation, change management, project planning, deliverables and business processes

Work with and contribute to Pega CoE & PMO to use and modify different frameworks, standards & procedures and best practices.

Conduct & Manage DCO sessions, Sizing & Estimations for Story Points at various stages of SDLC, Review Designs, Testing, Monitor work status & track Progress, and Reporting to Senior Management.

Qualifications:

Education Required: Bachelors (Technical)

Experience Required: 7+ years relevant experience

Pega systems experience including PRPC, Decisioning, and Technical Implementations preferred.

Pega Certifications Preferred

Financial and analytical experience.

Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup.

Project Management experience in offshore/nearshore/onshore coordination

Communication skills, Problem solving skills, Project management skills.

Agile and Waterfall methodologies implementations and software’s (Version One, SharePoint, SAP & Oracle modules)

Ability to drive accurate and timely decisions.
