As a Sr. Computer Systems Security Technologist II (Systems Administrator) in the Security Working Group, you’ll collaborate with a diverse team supporting Raytheon's critical programs with classified information system capabilities in a mixed Unix-based/Windows-based environment. As a Windows/Unix Subject Matter Expert you’re responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining tools and processes which will be used for standing-up secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs at Raytheon facilities across the Enterprise. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and documenting the technical solutions which will be used by system administrators for implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance requirements for Windows- and Unix-based environments. You may also provide daily system administration/maintenance support on Windows, Linux, and UNIX-based environments in client/server, network and data storage capacities. In this highly collaborative role your responsibilities will include: Collaborating with our Information Assurance partners to define requirements and creating end-to-end solutions for hardening systems to achieve RMF compliance in accordance with DAAPM and JSIG requirements Integrating and partnering with programs to solve complex infrastructure problems Ensuring server and application compliance with security and performance requirements (NISPOM, RMF) Developing, revising and maintaining technical and operational documentation (including procedures) to continually improve our computing environments Maintaining and growing your own technical competence in multiple areas (such as Windows, Linux, virtualization, user authentication, DNS, NFS, and system imaging/build automation) Assisting in developing the overall performance and capability of our technical team through mentoring and knowledge sharing This position can be a Salary Grade G09 or a Salary Grade G10 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. Required Skills: 6+ years of experience with Windows and / or Linux System Administration including Windows 10, Server 2008, Server 2012 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 and 7. Extensive experience with hardening Windows and Linux operating systems and applications in accordance with RMF and NISPOM. Scripting / programming experience Ability to clearly document processes and procedures. Security+ certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment US Citizenship is required Desired Skills: CISSP certification Experience with virtual computing technologies such as VMware ESXi and/or vSphere. Experience troubleshooting Windows and Linux Operating Systems and applications Strong knowledge of other *nix operating systems (e.g. Solaris, Irix) Knowledge of Active Directory and group policy management Working knowledge of thin client technologies Experience with data storage and data backup technologies Working knowledge of operating system provisioning – Cobbler, Ghost, MS MDT Working knowledge of system update management – WSUS, SCOM, Chef Working knowledge of computer system monitoring – Nagios. Working knowledge of unified OS account management technologies. Strong understanding of fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts. Strong communication skills, both oral and written Curiosity, problem solving, desire to learn new skills Strong organizational skills Experience working as part of a team collaborating on problem resolution.
