Cerner Device Administrator in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts
Cerner's ITWorks division has an opening for an End User Device Administrator. This person will provide day-to-day technical support on end user device hardware. Install, configure and troubleshoot end user devices including desktop, laptop systems, tablets, wired and wireless phones and other telecommunication devices. Maintain passwords, data integrity and file system security for the broad end user device environment. Communicate highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel. Recommend hardware, software and telecom solutions. To be successful in this role you will be required to communicate highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel to ensure user understanding.
Provides technical services to internal clients by identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems with desktop, laptop, telecom and network systems
Ensures that all phases of desktop and/or telecom support, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues, are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked, and resolved
Supports a broad range of devices including scanners, monitors, various telecommunications systems and smart room technology
Delivers client satisfaction through high levels of support and issue resolution
Leverages internal and external resources and tools to deliver problem identification and resolution
Installs, configures, and upgrades end-user desktop and laptop software
Serves as the onsite point of contact for issue resolution and triage for supported technologies
Performs hardware and software maintenance, such as upgrades, virus scans, moving systems, and documenting changes
Ability to prioritize and manage work queue
Accountable for communicating and working with the client to resolve key issues
Performs other responsibilities as needed

1+ year of experience with Microsoft solutions (Office suite and operating systems)
Must be able to work core business hours; 7am-3:30pm. Additionally, this role may require 12 hour shifts, including nights and weekends, based upon business need or as part of on call shift
Must be able to travel within the Washington DC/Virginia/Maryland metropolitan area
Must reside in, commute to or be willing to relocate to the Lowell, MA area
1+ year of experience with end-user device support, telecommunications and healthcare environment
Experience utilizing and supporting virtual environments, SCCM, Active Directory and Citrix mobile solutions a plus
