Cerner Project Manager in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts
The Project Manager is responsible for managing quality projects throughout the project lifecycle at ITWorks sites. They ensure world-class service by coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes. The Project Leader will leverage technical and healthcare industry knowledge as applicable and depending on project focus may require deeper domain expertise.
Responsibilities may include:
Manages multiple projects that have a distinct beginning and end.
Works with client to determine project scope and requirements.
Serves as liaison between ITWx site and client to ensure all targets and requirements are met.
Monitors and reports project and/or team performance against specified goals and objectives, ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within project budget (when appropriate).
Understands project impact to the existing and required workflow.
Able to identify risks and create risk mitigation plans when necessary.
Able to articulate how the project relates to client’s organizational strategy and initiatives.
Manages project to ensure on time delivery without sacrificing high quality standards.
Utilizes and promotes the use of PMO standard documents and SOPs.
Promotes, utilizes, and contributes to knowledge transfer forums.
Builds and maintains client relationships both internally and externally.
Seeks continuous improvement in processes, procedures, and outcomes.
Takes an active role in driving their Professional Development Plan (PDP) and career development.
Performs other responsibilities as needed.
Works in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures.
Understands personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets.
Takes appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of role.
Follows Cerner policies, upholds professional standards, and performs all work in a manner respectful of others.
Develops detailed project plans/schedules and manages project timeline, resources, charters, and client communications.
Responsible for managing project action items, risks, issues, project deliverables, cross-organizational communications, facilitate project meetings, generate agendas/minutes, drive project through all deployment phases.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong organizational skills.
Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Microsoft Project) .

Experience and understanding of project reporting cycles, status reports, metrics
Excellent communication skills
Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent industry experience is required.
2+ years of project management experience in the Information Technology industry with IT Clinical or Revenue Cycle experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification beneficial.
Previous project management experience.
Healthcare and/or management degree and experience is beneficial.
Good knowledge of the Cerner Millennium solutions and experience deploying Cerner solutions.
