National Grid Associate Analyst — PMCC Electric in Waltham, Massachusetts

_About the Position:_

Analyze data and activities to provide relevant and up to date information to support decision-making and the effective working of Project Management & Complex Construction for National Grid. At the higher levels this role will also design and implement procedures and policies within their area of work to improve the working of National Grid.

_Position Responsibilties (including but not limited to):_

  • Execute instructions and requests, plan and organize resources and make appropriate arrangements to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and in line with relevant policies and

processes.

  • Monitor and review financial information, updating where necessary in order to identify any anomalies or discrepancies and ensure management has access to up to date and accurate

information.

  • Monitor performance of allocated staff including issues relating to sickness, discipline and poor standards of work in order to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and effectively.

  • Build upon technical/professional skills within own area of specialism or of other processes in order to continually grow your personal contribution to the business.

  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to obtain and share information that will benefit National Grid.

  • Monitor and review work undertaken by project team in order to provide feedback on the appropriate use of materials, tools, equipment or resources and adherence to schedules.

*Additional accountabilities include but not limited to:-*

  • Manage and prepare annual document requirements CIP Compliance Improvement Plan (CIP).

  • Monitor and prepare reports on KPI goals concerning Safety and tracking of team training performance cycles.

  • Monitor and prepare functional reports regarding Fleet vehicle activities including but not limited to Vehicle utilization, Code Blue vehicle testing, vehicle replacements, rental equipment PHH/Element & Fuel exception reports.

  • Monitor telecom and data usage by department while recommending reducing overhead expenses where appropriate.

  • Responsible for supporting financial and non-financial controls to meet business requirements.

  • Assigned to PM&CC Storm Role in Northborough during weather events covering logistics & planning.

  • Assist Lead Supervisors with tool rental/purchase including tracking of tool calibration requirements.

  • Prepare and forward team expense & Credit card reports in SAP GUI.

  • Create SAP shopping cars & administer limit purchase orders for preferred vendor.

  • Maintain departmental Shared and SharePoint sites.

  • Organize and attend department staff meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.

_Familiarity with the following business systems and processes:_

  • SAP, SAP GUI, IMS, NERC/CIP qualification, ARCOS

_Knowledge and Experience Required:_

  • An Associates degree in a business or engineering related area and/or up to 2 years of related experience, or equivalent work experience.

  • Knowledge of National Grid’s business operations, company policies and practices.

  • Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel. Word, PowerPoint).

  • Understanding of project management techniques and methods.
