National Grid Digital Content Lead in Waltham, Massachusetts

_About the Position:_

Write and produce original and eye-catching digital (web and social) content for US Communications Team.

__

_Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to)_:

  • Responsible for the development of digital content on the web and social media;

  • Write summaries, blogs and abstracts of policy/business strategy materials for social media, email, web and other digital channels;

  • Research and execute best practices for planning, writing, and disseminating digital content; and for engaging audiences online;

  • Maintain editorial oversight for colleagues’ content on digital channels and ensure advancement of writing style and content strategy for communications team

  • Take a metrics-driven approach to optimizing National Grid’s content strategy;

  • Responsible for the daily conversation management of National Grid’s US corporate communications accounts. Must be familiar with conversation management tools such as Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sysomos, or Radian6;

  • Create monthly content plans (calendars) with content ideas (for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.). Aligned with National Grid’s social strategy and business objectives;

  • Publish the content items on the various social media channels and support them with paid media, understanding the approved media plan, budget, and KPI’s; and

  • Must be able to report the results of social and digital content: reach, engagement, CTR, CPV, CPC, share-of-voice /sentiment, etc.

  • Create visual content to improve National Grid’s digital storytelling: Infographics, short videos, etc.

Become part of core US Communications team:

  • Join the after-hours media on-call rotation

  • Serve as a Branch Public Information Coordinator during storms and other crises, etc.

_Knowledge and Experience Required:_

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience designing/implementing digital campaigns

  • Experience with graphic design and video editing

  • Digital Certifications in Social Media Marketing, Adobe Creative Suite, Data Science, Python are a plus

  • Media relations experience is a plus

_Capability Requirements:_

  • Social savvy and passionate about social and digital media

  • Excellent copywriting skills with an eye for detail

  • Strong ability to collaborate with various departments, stakeholders, etc. both internally and externally

  • Flexibility/adaptability under tight deadlines and enjoys juggling multiple projects

  • Strong graphic design and video editing skills
