Kforce DeltaV Engineer in Westborough, Massachusetts

A Kforce client in Westborough, Massachusetts (MA) is currently searching for a DeltaV Engineer to join their team.Summary:This position provides the application of good technical and analytical skills in the accomplishment of assigned project(s). Facilitate the process of defining control systems requirements. Code, test, and document programs as specified by detail design specifications including system life cycle documents. Develop test plans, test data, and perform analysis of test results. Conduct client training as required. The candidate must have good communication skills and works well with a team. The role is for the person to be a member of the D&B Automation team.Candidate will provide engineering support for ongoing Automation Core project initiatives and support of the Automation team including:

  • Development of core DeltaV library code for skids (chrom., TTF, etc.)

  • Develop and support overall integration of DeltaV, MES (Werum), and historian (OSI PI)

  • System administration of the DeltaV Core

  • Enhancements and evolutions to the Core solutions including DeltaV, PLC/SCADA, and BMS

  • Creation and completion of system life cycle documents

  • Test development and execution

  • Enhancements to the Core deployment kits

  • Standards development and deployment

  • Projects support for projects implementing core

  • Assist with the development and deployment of the DeltaV Core solution to biotech and vaccine projects worldwide

  • Interface with capital project teams to discuss automation strategy and share best practices for project planning and execution

  • Assist with the development of automation scope of work and plans to support the business process of capital project management

  • Experience: 9 to 12 years

Following skills are required for this position:

  • Experience and understanding of life sciences

  • Extensive experience with DeltaV DCS systems including S88 Batch control

  • Working knowledge of PLC/SCADA control systems

  • Working knowledge of data historians (OSI PI, AspenTech IP21)

  • Understanding of Manufacturing execution systems (MES)

  • Self-motivated
