Project Engineer

job summary:

Project Engineer needed for a full-time opportunity in the Amesbury, MA area. The Project Engineer will be responsible for acting as the lead in coordinating efforts of the Controls Engineers and CAD Designers and conducting design reviews as necessary to ensure design input, cost, and schedule requirements are being met. responsibilities:

• Interpret design input requirements from Applications Engineering based on a customer sales order.

• Size and select purchased components and configurable manufactured items that meet the overall requirements of the system. Some long lead items may have to be advance requisitioned

• Create documentation package(s) and provide follow-up support for approval of customer submittal packages.

• Release documentation such as component specifications, system drawings (General Arrangements), Bills of Materials, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and Operating and Maintenance Manuals.

• Awareness of regulatory requirements and able to work with Nationally Registered Testing Labs (NRTLs; such as ETL, UL, etc) when certification file revisions are necessary

• Support Sales and Applications Engineering in the pursuit of new business through conference calls and travel when appropriate.

• Focus on continuous improvement. Participate in team projects that focus on improving process time, quality, and cost.

• Education: Bachelors (required)

• Air handling system design (3 years of experience is required)

• Refrigeration systems (3 years of experience is required)

• Design for Manufacturing (3 years of experience is required)

• AutoCad Mechanical, SolidWorks (3 years of experience is required)
