Job Description
TheDepartment of Electrical and Computer Engineering (http://ece.umass.edu/) invites applications for a non tenure-track lecturer position (9-month appointment) in the area of Computer Engineering to start January 2023. The successful candidate will teach five (5) computer engineering undergraduate and graduate classes per academic year (with the possibility of teaching classes for additional compensation in summer and winter sessions) in computer hardware, computer software and computer systems such as data structures, embedded systems, computer architecture, computer networks, and operating systems. The essential functions for this position include: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in computer engineering, advising undergraduate students, advising senior design projects, advising non-thesis graduate projects, teaching non-residential courses such as UMass Flex and/or online courses with potential extra compensation and serving on departmental and/or college committees where appropriate.
Requirements
Masters (Ph.D. Preferred) in electrical & computer engineering or a closely related field.
Prior teaching experience.
Additional Information
Salary commensurate with experience.
