Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant in the higher education sector in Western Massachusetts. This role involves assisting our clients with their ADA Title II compliance, focusing on making applications digitally accessible for persons with disabilities in line with the recent key changes put in place by the Department of Justice.
Responsibilities:
• Implementing accessibility standards for the website to comply with ADA Title II regulations.
• Assisting in the digital transformation of applications to make them accessible for persons with Disabilities.
• Managing change effectively to ensure seamless transition during the implementation of ADA compliance measures.
• Utilizing skills in web content and mobile applications to enhance accessibility.
• Ensuring compliance with WCAG - Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
• Leveraging experience in the higher education sector to understand and meet specific ADA compliance requirements.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Management or Sr. Consultant role within the education industry
• Demonstrated proficiency in Change Management
• Experience in managing Web Content, including understanding and application of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
• Experience in Mobile App development and management
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project or similar
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Management, or related field is preferred
• PMP (Detail Oriented) certification is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decision under pressure
