Mercury Systems Cryptography Sales Engineer in Andover, Massachusetts

System Sales Engineer Mercury Systems is pioneering affordable and reliable security solutions for the Defense and Commercial Market. Mercury (MRCY) is looking for a Crytography Sales Engineer to assist the acquisition process by communicating our unique value proposition to our prospects, customers, and partners. As a Cryptography Sales Engineer, you will be a technical liaison working with the Sales Manager in the pre-sales Sales Process assessing requirements (Discovery), articulating the art of the possible (Shape), and then explaining our value propositions aligned to the requirements (Advocate). The position is two-thirds technical, and one-third Sales. You will be viewed as a subject matter expert. Sales for this role will encompass Mercury Systems' Secure Processing Solutions division (SPS). The SPS team creates sophisticated software, firmware, and hardware security products that protect critical IP on systems and applications from both domestic and international nation-state threats. Given the widespread use of mission critical software in military systems and industry today, it is essential that these systems be protected against the threats of tampering and reverse engineering by unauthorized entities. You are responsible for * Working in pre-sales environments to identify critical needs with system features and performance issues * Direct experience validating, verifying, and deploying security harden systems and sub-components * Experience with FPGA and how to map requirements to design implementations * Mapping customer specifications to system design requirements * Analyzes system performance and identifies risks * Flow system level requirements down to detailed Hardware and Software specifications * Consults with customer on technical issues and technical presentations * Serve as the main technical contact for projects * Understand the main concepts and applications associated with specific specialized company product design * Responsible for providing an accurate assessment of the scope of work for projects and accurate assessments of progress * Understands and addresses cost, schedule and performance impacts and provides trade-offs for programs decisions * Product SOW's and responses to RFI's and RFQ's * Travel extensively Additional Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: * Active DoD clearance is required Education: Bachelor's in a related field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science Work Experience: 3+ Years Physical Demands/Working Conditions: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
