Zwicker & Associates P.C is searching for a Programmer Analyst for our Massachusetts corporate headquarters located in Andover.
This person will be tasked with Production and Maintenance of advanced custom code in a variety of languages based on best fit to the application. The programmer will design, plan, configure, document, deploy and provide support ownership of the application development. Responsibilities include identifying software design requirements and make recommendations for performance optimization. The programmer will design software solutions as per business requirements, including Data modelling, optimization and troubleshooting. The programmer will lead the software development lifecycle, which includes research, new development, security, re-engineering and maintenance of software products, using best-in-class development process/lifecycle management (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). The programmer would report to the Director of IT Infrastructure and assist with data center operations via automation of tasks and automated data processing.
The programmer will provide accurate and timely logging of problems and resolution for problems in our IT ticketing management database; maintain communications with management during the problem resolution process; and conduct the research necessary to resolve and avoid future problems.
Applicant should be able to demonstrate ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult programmatic and logical tasks. This person shows initiative and acts independently to resolve problems. Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related discipline is required with a preference given to people with a Masters or higher Degree or equivalent proven work experience. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of Information Technology experience or masters theses work in implementing systems involving design, development, configuration and deployment of applications at scale preferably in financial and or General IT systems. Must have the following skill-set.
Adept Programming and Scripting experience in Java, C#, VBScript, Python, HTML5, XML, UML
Requires Microsoft Development, Linux and Amazon AWS and Azure Cloud Development
Needs to be fluent in Data modelling
Must have experience with and delivery of software utilizing Artificial Intelligence
Must have a firm understanding of data communications protocols
Must understand the interoperation of dissimilar Machine and Operating system types
Requires utilization of Database technology such including all of the following; DB2, MSSQL, PostgreSQL and MySQL
Must be able to select the right Algorithms to produce the required outcome
Must understand Cloud environments, Containers and related concepts
Will be able to work in a multi-programmer environment utilizing GIT
Requires Flexibility and creative thinking to achieve goals by Analysis and Code Application.
